About Polishing
Polishing is a part of a dental cleaning in which the hygienist uses a rotating cup and a gritty paste, or an air polisher, to smooth the teeth and remove surface stains and plaque. It follows scaling, which removes tartar. Polishing does not whiten the natural colour of the teeth. Ask the clinic what its cleaning visit includes.
