About Oral Sedation

Oral sedation uses a medication taken by mouth, usually as a pill before the appointment, to help a patient relax during dental treatment. The patient stays awake but is calmer, and the level of sedation depends on the medication and dose. The dentist reviews your health history first, and you may need someone to take you home afterwards.
