About Tongue-Tie & Lip-Tie Release
A tongue-tie or lip-tie release, also called a frenectomy or frenotomy, trims or releases the small band of tissue under the tongue or behind the upper lip when it limits movement. It is sometimes done for infants with feeding difficulty and for older children and adults. Some clinics use a laser. Ask the dentist about the assessment and aftercare.
