About Silver Diamine Fluoride
Silver diamine fluoride is a liquid that a dentist or hygienist paints on a tooth to help stop a cavity from growing. It is often used for young children, older adults and patients who find it hard to sit through a filling. The treated area usually turns dark, and the treatment may need to be repeated. The dentist explains the options.
